Fellas, we see and hear all the commercials aimed at women as to how they should watch what they eat and to lose weight.
We need to watch what we eat also. However, I am not advocating the kind of weight loss women put up with. I know we ain't trying to be all skinny and ish.
The below article can help:
Killer appetites The fat truth about restaurant starters
Appetizers should be like lingerie--skimpy enough to whet your appetite for a main course. But some of the most popular starters at restaurants are caloric fat bombs. Remember, a typical 180-pound guy should eat about 80 grams (g) of fat per day. With that in mind, none of these make nutritional sense. Have a salad.
Mozzarella Sticks Fried cheese is almost health food when you compare it with the other losers here. A three-stick serving has 375 calories and 21 g fat (7 g saturated).
Potato Skins It's true--they're baked . . . after the fat-topped potato shells are deep-fried. The end result leaves you feeling stuffed in your skin. Just three skins have 635 calories and 27 g fat (12 g saturated).
Onion Blossom Unfolding the onion creates more surface area to soak up grease. With the goopy dressing, half of this dish has 800 calories and 58 g fat (22 g saturated).
Creamy Spinach-Artichoke Dip and Tortilla Chips Once-healthy vegetables meet a grisly death in this bubbling vat of fat. One plate will earn you 838 calories and 59 g fat (31 g saturated).
Loaded Bacon-and-Cheese Fries Scan the restaurant for a defibrillator. Half a plate of these has 1,500 calories and 76 g fat (40 g saturated).
