After having viewed some of Amos Wilsons talks etc. He talks about self determination etc. I am realizing that without the Black man/woman this world could not function. All rides on our backs. We make the jobs etc, for everyone, the Kpreans hair etc, the Arabs stores in our communities, we buy buy buy all to go to others, we keep police in jobs, the prison shystem, lawyers name it rides on our backs, Anyway thats just the simple deal. will go into depth another ime Peace Osunkoya-Ifayomi

I remember when there were a lot of Black businesses all over town, especially Black restaurants. There were also Black hotels. I've been interested in starting a gym in my area because you have to go soooo far to get to one either way you go. I want a place that after you exercise you can set back and get your hair done, and I would also have a restaurant with a huge salad bar and a store with herbal tonics for good health. That's MY dream. All the money would be coming to ME!! I have even picked out the spot...then I would franchise. I give it a within the next two years it will be a reality. Those Christmases, Thanksgivings, and Easters...they especially make a killin' on us at the grocery stores, clothing stores, jails.....We Need to make a killin' off of them. But I have long stopped telling people of my dreams..no one wants to be a partner in any money making ideas. Some Blacks refuse to go to Black doctors, and some critizise Black businesses more than white businesses. I KNOW I can make a BETTER burger than McDonald's, Burger King, or Arby's. But in REALITY...you really need partners with or without money. Your skills can be your money. Black people need to band together, American Blacks that is because other Blacks from other countries come here and start businesses straight up!! Sorry for this long write...but this to me is a very touchy issue. We are holding are own selves back and I KNOW we as a people have had and still do stumbling blocks in our path. That slavery and willie lynch did a job on our mentality that's been inherited in us making us to not trust each other and sublimally still have trust in the white man. And in order for us to ever come together we must break that mental evil spell. Recognize what it is and delete it. There's a War going on inside of us against principles and principalities, especially in our children...they are fighting it but they don't know of what they are fighting...that's why they are soooo crazy and they can't or won't, mostly can't because ...look at all the things out there that distracts the mind from self....and they can't focus. How many more generations is it going to take to ween that spirit of slave mentality out of us?? How Long is it going to take for us to come together as a people, because as much as some of us wish...we will never blend with the white man on the level that it should be.

Sudan, never give up on your dream. See it through to fruition. A lot of "us" don't want to work together. We would rather do our own thing. I know this is trivial, but it's just like Black forums. Everyone (including me) wants their own. Instead of joining together to make super-forums people would rather do their thing individually. It's unfortunate that we have a "me" attitude instead of a "we" attitude. But I wish you much luck with your dreams sister. God willing, it will be.
