I went to court this morning and filed paperwork to have my son's and my last named changed.
We are taking my father's last name and I have absolutely no intention of telling my son's father that I did so.
If I could get his name off my son's birth certificate, I would . Even if he "found God" and/or got himself together today or tomorrow, I would still be so disgusted by him.
I just really wish I could forget my son has his DNA.

I’m playing the game with the cards I was dealt, baby. The sad part is that I was the dealer.

I dont blame you one bit for changing LilB's last name, and I sure wouldnt tell his sperm donor. But why are you changing yours?

I'm changing mine because...well, it's a long story but I will try to make it short.
When my mother got divorced, she kept her married name.
When she met my dad and had me, for whatever reason, they were not married and I ended up with her last name (which was actually her ex-husband's last name).
I always wanted to change my last name to my father's last name. I just found out how to do it, and actually it was quite an easy process.
While I was changing mine I figured I might as well change my son's too.

I can't believe it!!!! The courts approved my name change but DENIED my son's. I need his father's approval or we both have to go to court. It would really be in his best interest to just sign the damn paperwork because if we go to court I am going to make him look like the biggest fucking loser ever.
