another thread about driving and speeding. I was mortified, by the number of tickets the Lady's have. I was wondering, and be truthful. Based on how many tickets you have. Who's the better driver (smarter) men or women. I had one ticket in twenty years!! I'm male. ;D Now I'm not saying, you are a unsafe driver!!!! I'm just curious, who's the smarter driver based on tickets, men or women. to be fair, counting the myriad of tickets from that thread I would say men, by a long shot. BUTTTT, you never know. Now if you have no car, truck, vehicle, don't answer. Thank You

The least amount of tickets matter not, you've just been lucky. I consider myself a good driver. I just don't play around on the amount of time it takes to get there. I am an aggressive driver, I will take a truck thru a hole if I have to. I drive in snow or whatever else conditions there are. I live in an area where the main street I use to get to work, church etc is a serious speed trap 3 of those tickets was on that same street. Whether I speed or not does not make me a bad driver just a fast one. My husband had twenty two when I met him. He is a good driver, he thinks he is a better driver than me, I beg to differ. He's faster but better? Not necessarily so. Now doing stupid stuff on the road irks the hell outta me, cutting me off, going too slow, driving too close. I can watch traffic and see which cars I need to stay away from and those which look like they are going to cause something to happen. If the vehicle has 50 gears I can drive it. It may seem like I am boasting despite the tickets but I have been behind a wheel since I was 14 and my hubby since he was about 7.
My daughter watches me and I talk to her all of the time about what to watch for and not to react with rage EVERY time something happens on the road, I tell her to watch the tires on the cars around her cause it tells her a few seconds before which way that car is gonna go. The kids these days can't drive worth a damm. They put them behind a wheel tell them to drive down the street, give em a license and the next day they end up in an accident because of the lack of experience on real time. Now if you asked how many accidents one has caused, THAT may be a better indicator of a good or bad driver.

I can get you to about anywhere...just give me an address - not what color the place is....where to turn, what the place looks like.....go down how many traffic lights.....just the name of the place and address will suffice.
I read a map ahead of a road trip and can memorize the directions too.......and even learn the major streets and highways of the area I am visiting to help me get around. Yes, my girlfriend can give me shortcuts to her parents' and relative's homes......she can't do much else.

Now if you asked how many accidents one has caused, THAT may be a better indicator of a good or bad driver. I'm a PROFESSIONAL driver by trade!!! and have been so, for at least 11 years. because of it, I've learned some tricks of the trade!!! and How to drive without being notice!!!. Like speeding on a unfamiliar road........alone. Plus, unlike a few of you, my license, is part of my trade so if I loose it some how, I'm out of work!!!. So while there is some luck involved. I drive the way I drive, because I believe it's the best way to drive. Now to answer your question on accidents!!. I have been hit twice, no fault of my own. We are required to have defensive driving courses, as part of our annual training. But it 's up to the driver to give up bad driving habits, not the Vehicle you drive. When I speed, it's with the flow of the traffic, not because I'm just running late. Because if your late your late. Nor is this an attack, I was just shocked at the number of tickets, you and others had and thought I would bring it up as a post!!. As Commercial driver, I have different rules that I must go by, even when I'm not driving my car. For instance. In most states, the intoxication, rate for arrest is .08 or lower, for a commercial driver it's half of whatever the rate is in your state, regard-less if I'm on vacation, off or whatever. So smart drivers ,just change up, some of there lifestyles to make do. I thought that personally it was very high the number of tickets ya ll had. and just wanted to see, whom on this board the men or women, had more, and so far, the MEN are WINNING!!...(AGAIN!!) Boyfriend had twenty two!!!!!!!!!!! your insurance rate must be out the of the atmosphere!!! and ps YOUR BOYFRIEND OR HUSBAND doesn't count!!!!

Yes, I did...BUT, you were speaking in general, aside from that thread, am I correct? Dolphinfan: I'm just curious, who's the smarter driver based on tickets, men or women. to be fair, counting the myriad of tickets from that thread I would say men, by a long shot. BUTTTT, you never know. And Brotha, I've had zero...so let's not go there.
