Starting tonight and for the next twelve nights, I'll be posting one recipe per day for great non-alcoholic holiday drinks from various national and New Orleans-area celebrities.
Tonight: Hot Cranberry Cider by Paula Deen
1/4 cup packed brown sugar 3 cinnamon sticks Additional sticks for stirring 1 tbsp. whole cloves 6 cups cranberry juice 8 cups apple juice
Put the sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in the basket of a coffee percolator. Let the mixture perk as if making coffee. Serve with cinnamon stick stirrers, if desired.
Makes 3 1/2 quarts, about 18 servings.
