I have a question. How come Al Sharton or Jesse Jackson get to get on television and are introduced as black leaders? I mean when did we have this election and who the hell voted. Farrakhan also does not speak for me as well or represent my interest but when I turn on the television and see him, he's introduced as a black leader. Now I at least I can respect Jesse Jackson because I know of his dedication to the Civil Rights Movement but Al Sharpton? ( What does Al actually do for a living anyway? ) Farrakhan, let's not talk about him and say we did... Does the media choose these guys as our leaders because they know they are divisive, hell is the media even that smart? What do you think, come on Let's Talk Honestly.... When I think of Black leaders, I think more along the lines of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Malcom X. These men were on fire...they were dedicated. Jackson and Sharpton are media hogs in my opinion. I don't know who decided to give these men the title of "Black Leader" but they could probably learn a few things from the ones that came before them.

I kinda agree. Since when did they decide to speak for me? I don't see eye to eye with all their ideas, but they're not my representative.

George Cook www.letstalkhonestly.com MONEY CHOOSES OUR LEADERS!!!! AT LEAST THE ONE'S TODAY!! I don't look at any of the men you mention, as leaders. I see them as men who happen to be at the right place at the right time........ for a HOOK-UP!!!. Al Sharton, is taken right after Jesse Jackson, and goes where the money is!!!!. I remember TAWANA Brawley, he ain't no leader of mines!!!!. While i have been impressed by Farrakhan..........lately, he's been haten to long to be a leader of MY CHOICE!!!. Jesse Jackson is a great speaker, a GREAT speaker, but as an adult, he has only impress me TWO TIMES. When he went and got the Soilders out of......... I think Serbia, or herza cha........ something, and when he ran for president!!!!, nothing else!!! Not even his pass impresses ME!!! The only black leaders, I respect, on a NATIONAL LEVEL have died!!!!. They were not talkers, they were DOERS!!!! That GARBAGE, they ELECTED back in Office, in New Orleans, is one, that still has me Fuming!!! , from the city on up!!!!, they GAMBLED ON PEOPLES LIVES, and LOST!!! and he's seen as some type of RETURNING HERO!!!. This was about saving money!!! They!!!!!! our so called leaders, have black New Orleans people believing that they will be able to AFFORD to move BACK!!! that jobs will be waiting for them!!!!. I said to my mom, they just brought them *IGGERS* BACK to vote, and when that bus drops them off, they are done with them!!!. Because if you ain't a cop, teacher, HOME OWNER, EDUCATED!!!, or on some type of *SPECIAL program like CHAPTER EIGHT!!!! most couldn't afford to come Back. And with little and/or little education, they have ILLEGALS who can filled the JOBS!!!. Now don't get me wrong!!!!! I know they will pick a few , to come back and work for GOOD money, but once that QUOTA is met. The rest of New Orleanlenians, will be cast aside, like the houses in the flood. You know what really pisses me off is, a soldier can get his life RUIN, for taken pictures with a terrorist!!!!!!!!! And a Mayor can get RE-elected, for being in charge of the worst catastrophe, since slavery it self, and then be seen as the conquering hero for winning re-election in a city were 1100 died and a 250'000 are displaced!!! can you see it people!!!! it's right there!!! Some body should be in JAIL!!!!!!!!!!, WHY NOT!!!

When I think of Black leaders, I think more along the lines of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Malcom X. I agree. These are the people that I think of too. Who are Jackson and Sharpton leading anyway? I don't see much in the way of followers. Isn't that what makes a leader? Don't people have to follow you? Now Farrakhan? At least he has Black followers. You can rightfully call him a Black leader. However, I'm not sure that's a good thing. I don't like the place he's leading us to. I don't like the divisiveness of his followers. Actually, I hate (read:HATE) that part most of all. The NOI has soooooo much love for Black people, that they are more than willing to divide a nation already divided in too many ways.

Not really, I would have to say Barack Obama can be the MAN if he keep true to himself and his values! He is very likable to both Black and White, that scare the WASP in Washington too!
