Whats your favorite color, and why? My favorite color is...Blue. Don't know, always has been my favorite color since I was a little girl. More so Sky blue. It represents the blue sky on a beautiful day and night, it is the color of beautiful waters. And water just so happens to be my element sign according to my zodiac.

If i were your man what could I expect from YOU LOLOLOL...decided to get a lil' bolder, eh? Alright, alright, I'll indulge you. You could expect honesty, sincerity, loyalty, sexual prowess. I would use my love to make you strong, never tear you down, let you lead where you are strong, as long as you let me lead where I'm strong, and we can lead together where we are both strong. You would have someone that likes to try new things, travel, have intellectual discussions, on a level of agreeing to disagree. You will get a bit of competitiveness. You will get a lady with a bit of street sense, a bit of tomboyishness and a new best friend, if not your only. I will apologize if I'm wrong, as long as you are willing to do so too, when necessary. I believe in backing up my words with actions and keeping my promises to the best of my ability and I do not give them lightly. I would never ask of you, what I cannot do myself where it counts. I say where it counts because I can't pick up that 50lb sack of potatoes in the car and bring it inside my place, rofl.

Finally, if you had one day to live(healthy), what would you do with the time? After this question, you may step off the stand. Alright, Sir Dolphin. Let me make this count then... I would drop to my knees and pray as I cried for about an hour in thanks and Glory to the Almighty. Go play a game or two of Basketball, go running for 5 miles, take a shower, get dressed, do some serious club hoppin and site seeing, still have a lot to see in ChiTown, that I have not gotten around to, and if I had a man. Turn some cartwheels, yell at the top of my lungs, hit him upside the head and run some more, kiss him, go home, and whatever happens afterwards, Most likely a beautiful dance just for him and I, choreographed on the spot. I would be sure to spend my last 30 minutes, giving thanks to the Almighty once again. My honest and final answer. Thank you for this mind tingling question, Sir Dolphin.

sweetpie:
You come across as a conscious sister...
What happened in your life to get you to this point?
Hi, Sista SweetPie!!
Well, being born with Sickle Cell will do it, rofl. I have dealt with a lot of pain, adjustments, deaths as a young girl coming up. I was a sick girl, nerdy, quiet, too nice and read a lot. Read a lot because I wasn't in school as much as I wanted to be and I just took to History, Social Science, English, and in particular Black History. It irked me to only see one paragragh about Crispus Attucks and it's like NEXT! It wasn't enough for me. I wanted to read more about history in general. I love museums, I love the theatre, thanks to mom. And I was sublimally taught that one of the best things on this earth was to be Black. I never felt that I was less than, never felt that I needed to be ashamed of what I looked like, none of that, even when I eventually went to school with other races starting in High School. I just acquired a generous interest in reading about our people..and was truly miffed as a kid with most libraries only having one shelf of books, if a whole that, labeled 'Black Interest'.
I have been under the knife, I have been needled more times that a drug addict, lol. I know extreme but true. I have lost a lot of fam, including my two cousins that had SC and losing my father two months before the female cousin died. I had no choice but to be strong and conscientious, but I have to admit, my Mother is the primary reason that I started on that path. I seem to have carried myself the rest of the way to that Conscious Sista. To tell you the truth, and I just started voicing my opinion more and it just suddenly hit me when people have been voicing to me, such as you so eloquently did, that I was...A Sista with quite of bit of consciousness.
Is your hair natural? (no chem)
Yes, Maam, it is natural, no chem. But it wasn't always so. I went natural in '97.
I noticed that you like R&B music from the 60's to the 90's who influence that?
My Daddy influenced that mostly. Although mom did play into it. Record players with booming speakers, and albums. My parents were record playing, house party, positive having fun folks. No fighting, acting ignorant or anything. I used to lay under the dining room table and just look at the album covers and just lay there and jam right along with them on those easy and breezy days on an occasional weekend.
