How secure is your workplace? Do you have to show ID to get in or is it pretty much open to the public. Are there security guards?
With all of the stories about people being killed on the job, I'm just curious to hear what companies are doing to make sure their employees are safe.

For anyone to get into our building you need to bypass a security guard, show ID and then the receptionist but all of this does not matter if someone was fired. The security guards don't know who is fired so if they see a regular face they don't bother to stop you.
I pays to be nice to folks cause you never know what battles they are fighting inside.

I work in a Trauma Hospital and a Psychiatric Hospital there is heavy security in both, the Trauma Center especially because we are in the heart of one of Americas most violent cities. We have had gunshot victims that had the shooter come back to the hospital to finish the job...crazy but true!

We are not allowed on the property, without company ID.

We have ID cards to get into the outer and inner doors and to hit the timeclock. But all someone has to do is follow an employee in after they open the doors and Walah! They are in.

Employees use one entrance to get in while everyone else uses another door.
Me and my coworkers have a unique code we have to punch in before our door unlocks.

You have to have a badge to get in and if you leave it at home, you have to go through security to get temp one. We have security (with guns) 24/7. ;D

The doors are open for visitation until 9 pm. After 9 pm everyone goes through security before coming up to the unit.
