I wanna know about your labor and childbirth. If you have more than one child, talk about any or all of your experiences. .
1. Where were you when labor started?
2. Did your water break?
3. How many hours where you in labor?
4. On a scale of 1-10 how intense were your labor pains?
5. Did you opt for drugs/epidural/block or natural child birth?
6. Who was in the delivery room with you?
7. Did you have your Lil one at a hospital, birth center or at home?
8. Did your husband or significant other cut the cord?
9. What emotions were you feeling at the time?
10. Who long was your hospital stay?

My first two I was in labor for about 10-12hrs my water broke at home and when I couldn't take the contractions anymore then I went to the hospital. I had no medicine my length of stay was about 1- 2 days. Both times by labor started about 6 am. There was no one in the labor room. Emotionally I can't remember how I felt because it was so long ago.
My last one I was in the hospital from 8/21-10/1/2003, I went into work one day and never made it home because her heart rate kept dropping and they didn't want to take any chances. They kept me in the hospital until she was about 1 day to 35 weeks for lung development. I did have an Epidural which didn't take well because of back injuries as a nurse, my labor was induced about 6 am my doc also broke my water, she came about 5pm that afternoon 9/29. The next day I did my ligation because it was emotionally draining and the chances of me having complications again was more than 50%. My husband stayed in the labor room with me till the end but because of the possibility of her being placed on a ventilator my doctor cut her cord.

1. Where were you when labor started? The hospital. I was induced.
2. Did your water break? Yes while I was laying in the hospital bed. I heard a pop and I felt like I wet myself.
3. How many hours where you in labor? Approx. 7 hours
4. On a scale of 1-10 how intense were your labor pains? 10. Very painful when the labor pains hit but by the time I had to push it didn't hurt at all.
5. Did you opt for drugs/epidural/block or natural child birth? I tried to hold on as long as I could naturally until I was 8 cn. Somebody gotta give me something or I was out of that bed.
6. Who was in the delivery room with you? My husband and his aunt. My parents live in Georgia and was scheduled to arrive the next day. Dh's aunt was sitting directly in front of my legs. Talk about embarrassing. She had front row seat to all that was private to me. Just when I was about to push, I asked dh to please ask his aunt to move to the side.
7. Did you have your Lil one at a hospital, birth center or at home? Birth Center. It was really nice and private. The only thing I didn't like was that the nurses/doctors kept sticking Dominic with stuff to check him and he always scream to the top of his lungs. I did not get any rest BUT the food was great.
8. Did your husband or significant other cut the cord? Yes, my husband cut the cord. He said that he has never seen anything like that before ... I remember seeing his face when our son came out. LOL
9. What emotions were you feeling at the time? I was over joyed. Finally get to meet the little guy.
10. Who long was your hospital stay? I stayed for only 24 hours actually. I went in on a Monday afternoon (3pm); induced at 7pm; gave birth at 1:59am and was released on Tuesday at approximately 5pm.

1. Where were you when labor started?
With my first I was at my apartment about 1:00 am my daughter was born at 41 weeks.
My second I told the doctor I wanted him out no more than 40 weeks I checked in and we did just that.
2. Did your water break?
Technically yes, I just didn't know what it was because it wasn't the typical flooding that I'd heard.
With #2 I think they broke it.
3. How many hours where you in labor?
About 12 I think with first.
I don't know about #2.
4. On a scale of 1-10 how intense were your labor pains?
With my first the pain was so extensive that I could not think coherently, I tried to count or do abc's because it was a basic thing I could do to try to keep my mind away from the pain.
My mom was so mad at the nurse because she didn't like the way the nurse was speaking to me because basically I couldn't keep still enough for her to put it in. She gave her what for after though.
With the second we didn't even get that far they hooked me up!
5. Did you opt for drugs/epidural/block or natural child birth?
HELL YES!
6. Who was in the delivery room with you?
My mom, hubby and my mother-in-law. Both times
7. Did you have your Lil one at a hospital, birth center or at home?
Hospital
8. Did your husband or significant other cut the cord?
With the second.
9. What emotions were you feeling at the time?
With the first I was totally drained she did not want to come out. I pushed for a long time. I could not hold her for long was too tired, I told her so.
Wow a boy! He practically ran out!
10. Who long was your hospital stay?
With my daughter it was 2 or 3 days I had to be able to go to the bathroom a significant amount on my own and it just wasn't happening they sent me home with a catheter.
It wasn't as difficult with my son about the next day or so.
