Ladies, would you be willing to quit your job so you can be a housewife if you married someone who you think makes enough money? Why or why not?

I would love to be able to quit my job and be a housewife BUT I would have to be able to find and have a man/husband that I could TRUST to do the right thing(s), meaning he would be able and willing to take care of me, our children, and the household. I dont want to worry about whether he is bringing home his check or frittering it away. Since I dont trust anyone, I guess that is a moot point. on the other hand, even though I wouldnt want to HAVE to work, I would have to be able to go out and do something besides sit around the house all day or clean all day, and I wouldnt want to have to "ask" him for money. *shrugging shoulders*

I'd like to be able to spend more time at home, but I don't think I could ever let my husband (if I had one) work and I not do anything. I know how I am. It wouldn't be good.

I would volunteer a lot or have a part time job and just put all my money away for a rainy day.

I would love to spend more time with my children at home but I still like that independence of earning my own money. I have to work even if it is part time.

I tired the housewife thing ... its nice in the summer only! I could not stand it around the fall and winter times because I wanted to interact with people ... tv was boring and it was just driving me nuts.
I could not wait to start work again.

I'm not the stay at home type.

I'm going to be doing the "work from home" thing at the beginning of the year. I guess it's not the same as being a full time house wife or stay at home mom because I will be working. But I am sure that I am going to be stir crazy from being in the house so much.

The job I plan on having is my chosen career, therefore NO! The man I plan on marrying has enough that I won't have to and he wishes I wouldn't. I have put a lot of time in energy into this thing that I love(psychology), but I do have the option to work as little or as much as I want so that's cool too. But I don't see me giving up my dream to be housewife.

I would like to be a stay-at-home mother for the first years of my children's lives (if I have children), but I can't see myself just marrying and stop working.
At least not doing that and keeping my sanity.
But if we had at least a child and my hubby made enough money to provide for the family, I would gladly adopt the role of domestic goddess and hold down the home front.
