I went to Kroger's a few mins ago for lunch. There was a Becky in there that had on shorts, a too-short top and a lightweight jacket. *mind you, I told y'all the temp is only maybe 50 by now) and the wind is up. There was a black male standing in the deli trying to pay for his food. I say "trying," because he could hardly give the sister who was waiting on him his money for doing this at Becky. Of course the cashier and I talked about them.

And she probably didn’t look like shit, but because she had stringy hair and was half dressed he was acting like it was the best thing he’d seen in years.
***shaking my head***
I’ll never understand the fascination.

You know what, I have NEVER seen a brotha crane his neck lookin' at a sista. I guess he knows that nobody gives a real shyt about them. Why the brotha gotta be typical? When will he learn? If Bec gave him two seconds of time his azz will get effed up in some way. It ALWAYS seem to happen. All she has to say is, he hurt me or raped me or something when she doesn't get what she wants. And they wonder for the life of them why sistas have attitudes...

PLUS, the thing that kills me is that they will phuck with any ole stank looking white woman, but if we are not on point, we get passed up. And yes, half the time it's a brother that I would never want any way, but it's the principle. . Why will a black man date a fat out of shade white woman, but put down sisters who don't take care of themselves? When I leave the house with my hair pulled back or no make up on, no one says anything to me. But when I have my hair down, make up on, and dressed decently, brothas try to step to me. (even though they swear they don't like high maintenance women). The only time I get attention is when I'm in high maintenance mode.

It doesn't bother me one way or another. He isn't my man so do what you do. It doesn't make me feel any differently about who I am or what I have to offer.

I hear a lot of women say that and I can respect that. Half of the tore up looking brothas that are with these women are brothas that I wouldn’t look at twice ordinarily. The bigger issue for me is why sistas aren’t being revered the way that white women are. Why are brothas going out of their way to meet a white woman rather than following the natural of order of things by dating a sista? Why do so many brothas put US down, but go nuts over THEM???

I think white women take more of his shyt than what we will ever do. He is allowed to get away with murder and she treats him like a KING......Creating in him an illusion of what a REAL man is suppose to be about. You ever look at Divorce Court?? A lot of those men.....All of those males really do believe that they are correct in their actions. That twisted male dominance has gotta go. When I'm paying the bills just like you.... you gotta come to me correct.

In the middle of an argument a brother actually said “I’ll go get a white woman”. It’s easier for them to find a submissive white woman than to treat Black women as equals. I guess it makes them feel more like men.

It hurts to see a black male with a white female. It really does. It’s not as simple as “they’re taking our men.” It’s a lot more than that. The pain comes because we’ve seen and heard black men echo society’s beliefs that we are “difficult and undesirable.” Or that we’re gold diggers and drama-prone. Or sluts. So whenever I see a black man with a white woman I can’t help but wonder if he believes the hype or if those are the reasons he chose “Her” over one of us.
