Was there one event? Or maybe it was a certain birthday?
When did you start to feel like a woman as opposed to a girl?

I stopped feeling like a girl at nine.
I suppose, at least within the home, that's when I was no longer treated as one.
By ten, I was told I was a woman.
I never noticed how odd that was until recently. Watching my neices.
With their tantrums, innocence, lack of responsibilities, and bubbles still in their hair, they are girls.
My cousin and I joke that we were gypped.

I think in my mid 30's is when I started to feel womanly. When I turned 40 it seemed like a lot of things became clear that weren't before, but it's got me feeling like I have to make up for lost time.

When I had to learn the responsibility of paying my own bills and taking care of my family.

Definately when I moved out of my parents house and started paying my own bills, rent and car note ... I was about 25 years old.

For me, going off to boot camp made me feel like an adult, but my being pregnant made me feel like a woman.
