This may sound like a stupid question but how did you find out that you were pregnant?
With my first pregnancy, I went to the doctor because I thought I was coming down with the fly. I had no idea that I was pregnant.
So tell me your stories ladies, how did you get the big news that you were preggars?
(and no, I'm not really pregnant)

*suing MsB for heart failure* At first, I thought you were responding to someone else's post and I was wondering who was pregnant THEN I see you made the post and almost fell out! **composing myself** Now, with the first pregnancy before I missed my period, I felt like I wanted something specific to eat *greens*but couldnt figure out why I wasnt feeling better after I ate them. THEN the smell of Dawn dish detergent made me violently ill. Took a test at the doctor's and I was preggers. Second and third time, when I suspected I was pregnant, I went to the store and got a bottle of Dawn off of the shelf and sniffed it....got sick (not throwing up sick) and I knew.

Girl if I were pregnant I’d be standing in traffic praying for a tractor trailer to come along and put me out of my misery.
That’s interesting that the smell of Dawn made you ill. That’s one I’ve never heard before.

Son #1 - I was craving Yoshinoya Beef Bowl and there was one near my home that wa s open 24/7. I'd eat it in the morning at 7am. Then one evening during dinner it hit me my period didn't show and I knew I was preggers. Son#2 - I didn't know. When my period stopped I was like "ok your pregnant" and went to the doctor. But they were like something is not right and kept asking me questions. The doctor decided to do ultrasound and in the back of my head I am thinking, "it's going to be twins!". Turned out that I was walking around 4 1/2 months pregnant Son #3 - I was going to Johnny's Pastrami place in Culver City and this man got in his car to leave but he didn't pull out. So I asked politely if he was coming out and he snapped at me. I went clean off on him and then started crying - I knew then I was pregnant because I didn't respond like that.

#1 I didn't think about it at first then one day it hit me when I started feeling crappy and my period hadn't started in a while. I went over to the Family Planning clinic on my lunch break. They gave me the quickie test and the lady came into the room and told me I was pregnant I broke down, I asked her was she joking she said no. I was clearly upset. She had to talk me out whatever she thought I was gonna do. She told me about her situation and that her children were there for her when they became grown and she was glad that she didn't do anything to terminate any of them. I appreciated her for talking to me. I was heartsick.
I was almost equally not happy when I became pregnant with my son. I took a home pregnancy test I couldn't even read it when it said positive I was scared and got down on my knees outside in our back yard and cried. Oh my god can we raise 2? My husband had to calm me down this time. I was not a happy camper when the news of the impending pregnancies was told to me both times.

We knew because we were trying to conceive. My first pregnancy miscarried when I was 11 1/2 weeks ... we both were devastated because we wanted a baby soooooo bad. We immediately started trying again after doctor gave me the okay. For the first couple of months I didn't get pregnant so it was upsetting ... I thought it was the prenatal pills so I decided to go to another doctor (a woman and a sista) and get new prenatal pills.
At my appointment, they gave me a pregnancy test just because I was a new patient and just as I was leaveing out the door with my new prescription for prenatal pills the nurse comes running out of her office with my pregnancy test in her hands screaming ... "your pregnant!!!!" ... my new doctor hugged me and congratulated me.
I immediately called my husband and gave him the good news. We we were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited and happy. I wasn't due to have my period for a couple of days.
