The hospital where my son had his first surgery required me to take infant and child CPR before releasing him from the hospital. I was wondering how many people have taken it upon themselves to learn CPR.

I take a CPR class on average about once every three years. I think it's very important, particularly if you have children. Kids have a terrific habit of biting off more than they can chew (no pun intended, but strangely appropriate). ;D

It's been about 6 years and honestly I don't know if I would remember how to administer CPR.

CPR is taught differently now than it used to be. Not just in technique, but most classes also teach the legal aspects performing CPR on strangers.

I will do that, mostly because of my son and his medical problems.

I'd love to take CPR classes. Unfortunately the classes are too far away from me.
