Will you insist on college after your kids graduate HS? Would you be equally supportive if they wanted to fly to Hollywood or NY and launch an acting or singing career? What if they just wanted to get a regualar job??
Will you let your kids fine their own way or will you "guide" them in the right direction?

I have suggested college to all three of my children...the oldest went for about a semester and got frustrated. My second oldest went for about a few weeks and didnt try to finish. He DID tell me last week that he wants to take some classes. She has a lot of family members beside myself that are trying to get her to go back. The youngest is talking military life

The military? I believe in letting kids find their own way, but my goodness. I hope you talk him out of that.

Girl, I didnt think he was serious UNTIL he sent off a little card to get more info and the information came in the mail. He came to me and showed me a poster and some kind of small book. I didnt let him see me cry. Then I was emailing one of my friends and broke down in tears .....it didnt help that Father's Day was drawing near and I was pms'ing. He mentions it from time to time so maybe the "appeal" is wearing off. I hope so.

When I have kids, I'll tell them about the advantages of a college degree, but the decision will be up to them. However, they will not sit around the house....and eventually, they need to move out.

Well, I don't want to make you feel worse but if a recruiter gets his name, they will pretty much tell him ANYTHING to get him to join. We're going to pray about this one, real hard sis.

Right, now I am suggesting college but with the understanding that not all children want to go to college some may want to go to a trade school or just go to work, it is a hard decision because in the ending we don't even have the choice.

I will insist on it, the difference between a good job and a great one is how much you know is how much paper you got. You open yourself up to more opportunities with that paper.
