How soon did you/will you talk to your child(ren) about sex?
What did you/will you tell them?

I started talking to my older girls at the age of nine and everyday since then even to the point where they would say, "You have said that before", "We know", "Oh, mom", but I will continue to be a broken record.

I began a little at a time before she even knew what I was talking about. Little bitty steps... no babies... no babies... no babies (HUH?) no babies... (WHAT?) no babies. No wait! no boys... no boys... no boys... (MOM I DON'T LIKE BOYS!) no boys... You'll change your mind... no boys... no boys... (MOM!).
Well anyway she is going on 11, I had her attend family life classes at her school where they described puberty and all the innerworkings of the male and female and the other growth issues. She likes boys more than she cares to admit, she pays them too much attention already. I have not described sex to her and she will most certainly get a dose from her friends. It will probably be done by the time she is 12. I don't want her view entirely skewed.
