Do your children have chores? If your child is too young for chores, will they have them when they get older? Do you pay your child for the chores they do?
I never got paid for doing stuff around the house. Actually, I think my mother did most of the housework.

I always did the chores when I was growing up, while my two brothers just sat around the house. It's still true today whenever we have family get-togethers....and my brothers are literally in the same room with em. I guess they're too scared to ask them to do anything.

That's why I think it's a good idea to get kids involved in housework early. If they don't do it while they are growing up, they won't want to lift a finger as an adult. I'm a germaphobe so I HAVE to keep everything in order.

My girls have chores even the baby. Like today I had to remind my 17 y/o that it is Saturday and we need to get up and clean up. She is assign to clean her room, take care of the kitchen since she like to cook, they do their own laundry except the baby. Now, I don't pay for the chores but I pay for helping out with the little tot when I am at work.
