What is one thing that your parent or parents said or did while you were growing up that you will NEVER say or do to your children?
My mother use to say how much she hated light-skinned people. Even though she obviously wasn't talking about me, it still made me think that there was something wrong with being light skinned. I would never make negative comments to any child about their physical appearance because I know first hand that type of thing stays with a person.

It's so many things, I can harp on, but the one thing I think eveybody can agree on, is keeping the kids out of ADULT Business!!! trying to make them INDIRECTLY, choose sides.

Not allowing my children to come and talk to me about their problems no matter how little they may be, to them it is important.

I will not guilt trip my children for any reason. That's a good one. Under most circumstances, children should not be responsible for their parents.
