Being that no one else answered, allow me to break the rules and respond to this one. It's all about trust. If a woman trusts her man, she won't care if he hangs with the boys. If she is insecure, he will never make it out of the house without a battle.

I agree with you. if you can't trust your spouse to hang out occassionally, with the boys, or he of she, what the point of being together! i mean you did have friends before, you got together, and if he or she is that bad, why get together in the first place?

Personally, I think that men need that time with their boys. The same with women. I think that when people get married and loose their identity that opens the door for resentment. I wouldn't mind at all if my man had a night that he went out with the boys. As long as he didn't give me a reason to be suspicious, I would encourage it.

My wife has never had a problem with my haning out with my old friends on occasions. I've never had a problem with her hanging out with hers either. Quite frankly, I welcome my quality time alone when I have the house all to myself ;D You can't allow yourselves to be come consumed in each other to the point you are together every minute of the day!!! IMO, that would cause resentment eventually!!!
