I don't think that any rational person was proud or happy about the circumstances surrounding Hurricane Katrina.
Are you referring to President Bush? As much as I loathe Bush, I don't think that anyone, including the President, was unconcerned. All levels of government dropped the ball on Katrina. They weren't organized and they acted slowly. But it's unfair to say that anyone watching those people pleading for help and dying in the streets were unconcerned.
Absolutely. Our God is all knowing.
Aren't all Christians "self-appointed".
Moze16, I hope you log back on and elaborate on this a little more.

THE SELF APPOINTED CHRISTIANS DON'T BELIEVE IT./ I think individual Christians step up to the plate, the most famous of them was TOM JOYNER!!. I think giving the money to the family's supporting others was genius move on his part. As far as the government is concerned, I felt it was a very slow response, aided, by the fact that Nagin, on up, gambled it wouldn't be as bad as it eventually turn out!! to be!! Katrina was a wake up call, to people who ignore the news and take politics lightly.
