Question with the slaughter of thousands going on in the Darfur Region of Sudan what the hell is the U.N. (useless nations) doing. Everyone bitches and moans when the U.S. steps in but does nothing to stop the genocide. So I ask again just what the hell is the U.N. doing to save BLACK LIVES! George Cook www.letstalkhonestly.com This I want you to note.Do not use this type of language or word(useless) again.from,Olamilove

So I ask again just what the hell is the U.N. doing to save BLACK LIVES! Not a damn thing. Now... has anyone been misconstrued about this? To my knowledge, the U.N. has yet to save one single Black life... because no countries that are controlled by Black people have any power in the U. N..... Yet.

There are three African nations on the 15-member UN Security Council. The problem is, the U.S. (along with France, Russia, China and the United Kingdom) are permanent members of that council and any one of those permanent members can veto any legislation/resolution.

I want you all to follow my post in the most objective manner.United Nations was formed in 1945,due to the failure of league of nations, that could not prevent another world war. After it was formed,Germany got broken into two(East & West),Japan, became less powerful,Italy's popularity and influence reduced,Britain could not do much as she was still nursing the injuries sustained in the first world war. Nigeria and several countries of the world including United states, had suffered civil wars. Some countries are still grappling with their own self-centred civil war.Tell me,does make sense if i choose to fight my brother and my neighbour pop in to mediate, while the two brthers shoved the idea of mediation aside, even treathening to to fight or kill the mediator.I do noy think it make too much of sense if it makes sense at all. Secondly,it's against the priciples, treaties, conventions, charters etc of UN,to practically partake in the personal affairs of any country.I put it to you, wars will come to the end if or when the warring parties agreed to pocket their guns.Let our brothers in Darfur, put on thier thinking cap. Note that,Darfur will not be the last place of civil war."There can never be a permanent peace, rather a relative peace"-Olamilove.

I agree. No other country should butt in the affairs of another country unless asked too, but the U.S. and other powerful countries have thrown that to the side.

In international politics,it's matter of no permanent friend or friends but permanent interests. When the former US,president Bill Clinton visited Nigeria,in 2000.It was alleged that he came to renegotiate the price of crude oil, which United states have been buying from Nigeria as far back as 1970s.Funny enough,Bill Clinton came to Nigeria,in the early hours of Saturday and left very early Monday morning. Is that a working visit? See,'a good diplomat will say the nastiest thing,in the nicest way'I will not apportion blame to US and UN .One thing led to the other.I urge any family member that will like to add to this to define poverty.

The real problem, with the United Nations, is, if you have no national treasures to raid, they don't give a DAYUM, about you or your people PERIOD. Even those with, national treasures, get RAPED. What you also failed to mention, was that fact that when, South Africa, and other Black, But white Owned, country abdicated, some of there power, they Left nothing!!!!, but small portions of land that use to extend across Africa!! that tribes traditionally owned. Tribal fighting and poverty, are whats really fueling, and REFUELING civil war!! over there. When People try to help, and send money, the warlords get it. You send medicine, the warlords get it. Disease, the WARLORDS help spread IT!. So knowing the U.N. history, is one thing, Knowing the TRUTH, is another, . Most of the in-Fighting over there is about getting back tribal lands!!, add to that, the unrest in the Middle EAST, and you have years of unrest, with poverty and starvation, fueling the unrest!!. The United Nations, knows the problem, but to truly solve them, would mean realigning, powers that Be, and as i said earlier, they only help those who can help them stay in power!!. Period. Anything that could lead to power, in Africa, can and will lead to war, especially ,if someone can make a legitimate claim to lands stolen century's, ago. I will make a suggestion, that would save all face, Create one nation!! in Sub-Saharan, Africa, divide the lands, as evenly as possible. Then build desalination, plants all around the country, flood areas, that use to flood, then have people move into those lands!!!. The project alone would create Jobs. Then plant Native species, back in areas, they lived. Teach the New Africans, how to take care of this new found wealth, and how to do a better job running there country then we DO. Farms would grow food, wildlife, would benefit, and of course the people. The hard part, would be, the rethinking of Africa, as one NATION. The united nation would benefit, because they will not be wasting money chasing, another warlord to his death. Also give the the newest technology to help them not pollute the areas they choose to live in and restrict access to lands, that animals live in. all theses things can be done!!!, but, poverty, has it advantages, for the SUPER RICH. and this Idea is so simple, it wouldn't make sense, to the U.N.

Family,United Nations,in in existence at the mercy of US and co .All the same,self-centerdness,greedyness,covetousness,and so on runs in the veins of most African rulers .They are not worthy to be called leaders. 'There is no smoke without fire'.When Nigeria had her civil war in 1967 to 1970,the secccessionists were backed and militarily suppoorted by one of the five permanent members of the UN .security council. All the same, the civil came to an end .If no advanced country support any rebel group or whatever, the warlord will change their m inds .Have you ever heard that, a fish survive without water
