Phrases such as “Let’s just be friends” or “We’re better off as friends” can be the kiss of death in a relationship because these proclamations usually precede a breakup. I love how you threw in the "usually" there BP... ;D First... I don't think men ever use these phrases. This is definiately a woman thing. Womanese: "Let's just be friends" Translation:" I'm bored with you and I already have another man... but you're an alright guy so I don't want to burn this bridge just yet. " To answer the question, I never maintain relations with an ex. They're an ex for a reason... and a damn good one at that. MEN use these phrases more....usually because THEY have found someone else or are in the process but want to leave the door open so to speak if things dont work out with the "new woman."

That term, is a STAKE in the HEART UNIVERSALLY , for men. That means, thanks ,but no thanks, YOU AIN'T MANLY ENOUGH FOR ME. WHEN MEN USE THE TERM, IT'S TO LET YOU KNOW. i'M DOING ANOTHER WOMEN.TO PUT IT BLUNTLY, BUT IF YOU ARE DOWN I'M DOWN.
