These days, as women get married, more and more of them are opting to use their maiden names as well as their married names or refuse to use their married name altogether.
Married folks - did she take his last name, keep her maiden name or use both? Why or why not?
Single ladies - What would you do? Why or why not?
Single fellas - If you were getting married, do you want her to have your last name? Why or why not?
Is it a really big deal to you?

I'd take my husband's last name if I were to get married.
I wouldn't dream of not taking it.

I would take his last name, it's an honor for one and two I don't feel like hyphenating because I'mma wanna short cut that long last name some kind of way out of frustration writing that down on everything I have.
I know my maiden name and it will always be in my heart.

I took my husbands name and couldnt wait to do it. My mother has a hyphenated name and I was often asked if i would do the same. I didnt want to do that.

I took his name and now use my maiden name as my middle name on legal documents.

Personally, I'd want her to take my last name. If she wants to use her maiden name as a middle name, I'm cool with that. I don't want her to hyphenate her maiden and my last names.

I happily took my huaband's last name. There was only one time when I used my last name and his last name and that was when I graduated from college. It took me almost 10 years to finish college and I felt that most of that time I was "my last name" ... I felt I was honoring my parents and my husband at the same time.
