There was a DJ on the radio asking people to call in with the answer to this questions:
What things should people NOT do anymore once they turn 30?
The DJ had women give a list for the guys and the guys give a list for the women. And for those of you who are still young'uns *cough, Brother B, cough* what do you think you may stop doing once you reach the big 30?

Why I gotta be a youngin? I turn 30 in March Ok, then you're ALMOST not a baby. Anyway. I think that when men turn 30 they should stop: job hopping being players (ok, that was a waste of some keystrokes) stop dressing like teenagers

THE SLOUCH PANTS!!! Cornrows, no scarf, a doo rag in public (as a fashion statement) if you're getting ready for tthe big go out that's okay. Criminal acts. Stop bummin' get your OWN car and crib. Not taking care of your babies. Fighting... now how old is Busta Rhymes? Wasn't he arrested for beating up some guy?

I was going to say cornrows but I love men with locs and I didn't want to be a contradictory. But the truth is, I hate to see a grown man with cornrows.

By age 30, women should stop:
* Wearing cornrows (makes yall look scary), outlandish hairstyles and ridiculous hair coloring. * Wearing hoeish/inappropriate clothing (including wearing pants in which your underwear is showing whether standing/sitting/bending down). * Acting childish and fighting. * Job-hopping. * Being financially irresponsible.

Blaque, not the same thing! there is a definite difference with the locs. I'm talking about laying down of the braid on the scalp. There is a guy here that puts locs in most of the brothas hair here. He does women too. I mean he has thriving business. My brother wore them for most of his adult life and only had them cut off for about 2 years now. Those cango on to whenever.
As for cornrows 30-35 plus really needs to lose em. They just look funny RKelly and them old hip hop dudes need to let it die.

*crying laughing at MsB's remark about men being playas* but that was the FIRST thing I thought about. I agree with all of you on your opinions let me add Men-Stop with all of the bling....why do you need to wear more than one necklace or a bunch of diamonds on your hands? This should never happen at any age, but men...stop thinking your actions of the past or present that really arent cute, stop thinking they are cute and passing that same mentality on to your sons or other male relatives. everybody-stop trying to flash with no cash Women-stop looking for a man to support you, whether you have a job or not.

Women should also stop wearing all that damn jewelry too. Do you REALLY need two hands full of rings, and big azz earrings. Also, stop using the words "diva" and "strong black woman." It's clearly overused and used out of context by many of yall.

Men need to stop thinking that everything that glitters is gold Men need to stop saying a woman is hating or she is childish when she check his azz
