Don't women lie about there age ALLLLL THE TIME!! .To me it's no bigg deal. nNow if other things came up, thats a red flag, but not this. HELLO!! These people are getting ready to COMMIT!!! .....to each other!!!We should know each other's shoe size ...talkin' bout not knowing your wife or huzband's age.... If age is the only thing he got wrong, i say it's no big deal. now if she finds out he's some killer or rapist. that a bigg deal. According to the article, this was not the issue. hell maybe she wanted to make babys at 48 and flet if he was also the same age, his sperm would be more viable . if this committment was so important to her, why didn't she feel the need to look this up. hell he could also have a billion children too. Age in this case, to me is not that important.

She still should have asked instead of ASSuming...if it was that important to her. As far as I'm concerned, as long as one knows about the other's work, habits, opinions on certain things...and the like, age really isn't a big factor unless that person is someone who doesn't like big age differences. In that case........ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK. if that person doesn't want to answer, something is up. That goes for other things too. If you need to know that badly, ask. It's not that hard, people. End of conversation.

Ok Ok!
You guys give very valid points.
BUT...
I gotta agree with Dolphin and Bro B on this one.
If she truly wanted to know his age she would have asked or possibly sneeked a peek at his driver's license before the marriage. True, he could be profiled on "America's Most Wanted." The key here is that she ASSUMED, that is HER fault. Personally I'm gonna ask, I will not assume. I will definitely look at something that has his birthdate on it for sure! It is a problem only if I asked and he lied about it straight up.
I get the feeling that he wasn't gonna voluntarily tell her. Maybe he thought it would be a sign of lost virility to her. Some men have a problem telling their age too, it is not a crime, but you would hope he would be truthful if you ask. That's the key, if it was that important to her which it was, she should have asked or found out in some kind of way, then she wouldn't have been blindsided. With her at 43 she should be mature enough to know how to ask about what she wants to know, she doesn't have time to play and if she wants children even less time.
