Lou Dobbs Tonight, they ask a very simple question. Should a church , lose it's tax exempt status, if it favored a candidate of any party? I say yes!!!!!!!. They can speak, and provided a neutral site, for a debate. But should they from there own Pulpit, be able to choose a side and back a candidate? what do you feel about this question.

That's a tough question. For one thing, not all members of a congregation will want to support the same candidate I'm quite sure. Although in theory, I don't see anything wrong with it, I think it is dangerous for a Pastor to tell a congregation who they should/must vote for. Encouraging them to vote is a good thing. Suggesting who they should vote for is wrong in my opinion.
So, I don't know about loosing tax exemption status, but perhaps a church shouldn't get involved with supporting one candidate over another.

If they favored, a candidate, over another, they should lose, there tax exempt status. I'm not saying not to follow one's belief's, but PUBLICLY speaking out against one candidate, over another should be grounds for it. NOTICE, I said PUBLICLY, because one of the clauses, to having the tax exempt static, is that you would be PUBLICLY neutral, when it came to politics.
