I wrote this in 2004 and sadly it still rings true today....George Cook Little Hoochie Mammas Our young girls are dressing more and more like little whores than little girls. They are also learning very early in life that sex can get them the "bling bling" jeans and sneakers they want. That in itself is bad enough but where they learn these behaviors is even more disturbing. Not from music or videos but from home. With grandmothers and mothers getting younger and younger the role models young girls have to look up to are getting few and in between. You have young girls and women with children still trying to have a "life" and doing whatever to fund it You would have to be a damned fool to think the kids don't know how mommy or auntie uses men to get bills paid or how certain men are only around when the rent or car note is due. What a grown woman does to support herself is her business but it sends a bad message to the children. The little girls see the material gain but don't learn about the sex related diseases, unwanted pregnancies, stalkers, or baby daddy drama until it's too late. I'm begging all young women with children to think about what you do and say in front of your little girl, if you want to be a hoochie mamma (read whore, let's call a spade a spade) that's on you but give your little girl a choice... Well said...
Young mothers today either don't have the time, a clue or don't give a damm about what their children see or hear. Basically it is unheard of for a young person to change ones lifestyle to suit the child. People spend their time trying to make the child adjust to an adult world instead of adjusting to the child's world.

Glc,that is a nice caption.Do you tend to ask where pelpe do craziest things most in the world. The answer is not far.United states of America,is the most liberal country in the world at the same time the country that behaves craily morte than any other country on planet Earth. Mode of dressing has been a major concern here in Nigeria, but then, some churches do not give a damn as to what you wear let alone to be concerned on how you get it. We should not limit ourselves to the issue of mode of dressing and that of looking young. Here in Nigeria, the two dominating religions do not openly condemn curroption, but indirectly in support of the problem. How you get the money for the offering or thite is not thier biz.The point is CASH flows.

GLC, I have to agree with this. Once a woman becomes a mother, her child should be top priority. Women who aren't doing so should try break the cycle and give their children the type of upbringing that perhaps they didn't have.

I cringe everytime I see a young unwed mother making her child try to fit into her world when it should be all about what's best for the child. If I see another young unwed mother acting like her child is a burden instead of doing what's right.......
