Do you get along with your in-laws? How important was it to marry someone whose family you get along with? And if you are single, how high on the priority list do you place the need to get along with the future in laws?

My girlfriend's parents like me, especially her mama. My girl says she asks about me all the time.

My parents love my husband.
My husband's parents are deceased but his only sister hates me. She does not trust me because I don't look "black" to her. We never had a conversation, she saw me once and refused to talk to me. All because of the way I look she has cut off her relationship with her brother and thus her only nephew. She has seen our son only once and that was when he was 6 months old for about 30 minutes. Our son is 3 years old. Oh well ... its her loss. I'm not sweatin it ... glad I don't have to deal with the drama.
